At first glance, Peter's call schedule for this month looked great... most Saturdays off! Until he put on the calendar the various labs he has to go to every Saturday he's not working. Hmph. Today I found myself something new and fun to do in the meantime: The City Flea. It's a little Saturday market, new this year, with a combination of interesting handmade & flea market type products.
Since it was supposed to be hot and sunny, I put on a breezy dress and grabbed a hat on the way out the door for a little shade. At first I felt a little silly walking around downtown wearing a beach hat, but once I arrived at the market, I realized I had found Cincinnati's hipster central and fit right in (well, not completely, but more than I would in my normal outfits).
outfit #25
dress: Old Navy; sandals: Target; belt: thrifted; scarf: gift from mom; hat: TJ Maxx
I saw some fun stuff, but it was a little hard to even look at things with the crowds - clearly the happening place to be! Also, after my long morning run, I was a little more focused on food buying... There were a few food carts there that I've heard about and been wanting to try, including one that does quesadillas out of a vintage Airstream trailer and one that's known for its burgers.
Loved the "I love you more than cheese" card - that would be saying a lot coming from me

Love that outfit! The scarf and floppy hat complete the look perfectly! How long does this City Flea go on for? I may have to check it out if it's still there when I get back in September.
ReplyDeleteOH. My. GOODNESS. This is a great look. I love that scarf and how you wore it. Changes the dress quite a bit. The hat adds a touch o' glam. This is going in my file for a rainy day.
