mini-weekend

Weekends never seem long enough, but this one really wasn't - mine started around 2:30 Saturday afternoon when I arrived home from a work trip (though I did get to spend Friday afternoon sightseeing in New Orleans), and Peter's started around 3:30 on Sunday afternoon when he woke up from sleeping off his all day/all night Saturday call.

But it was a beautiful, summery weekend, so we used the bit of time we had on Sunday wisely: I picked up a cart full of bright flowers at the garden center, and we got the flower beds cleaned out and planted. And then followed that up by an al fresco dinner date. The kind of summer stuff that can't be beat!

It was a good thing we fit in a little outdoor enjoyment - it's another beautiful day today, but work travel manages to get me way behind on regular work and house work. So back to business...
