#StyleMeMay part 1

Halfway through May (already!), here's a recap of the first couple weeks of the #StyleMeMay Instagram challenge. I missed a couple days, especially when we were away, and made up for some of that by combining three prompts into one outfit. And lining up all the photos, I see some themes: I like stripes and bright orange...

makes me want to twirl (day 1): weather warm enough for this stripey dress from Land's End Canvas | bright happy color (day 2): my favorite orange via Loft, worn on a bright sunshiny day | used to scare me (day 9): denim on denim; still can be scary, but not when it's chambray...

a world traveler (day 7): scarf from the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, purchased on a work trip | seen on a style blog (day 13): white jeans + white blouse via Pinterest | always gets complimented (day 4): my hair and this necklace, both lovely gifts from my mom

color below the ankles (day 11): yet again couldn't resist my current favorite color, from Land's End of all places, plus OPI Big Apple Red nails | fresh lipstick color (day 8): Revlon lip butter on the way to yummy sushi dinner | put a scarf on it (day 5): worn as a belt on a too-hot-for-accessories kind of day (with Ginger photobomb)
