five things Friday: birthday wishes edition

There are lots of things to like about June, but my birthday has always been one of my personal favorites. And I've never been a girl with any shortage of ideas for what I might like for my birthday. As I contemplate the strange idea of turning 28 next week (not that I'm exactly upset about it, as so far in life I find every year to be better, but that I just can't figure out how it ever happened that I can say things like, "I got glasses in third grade. That was twenty years ago..."), here are 5 things on my wishlist this year:

1. throw pillow: I've been looking for a cool rectangular pillow for our bed, and this one from Williams Sonoma Home might be just the thing with our khaki headboard, white sheets, and aqua quilt.

2. bubble necklace: the JCrew one is fabulous, especially in turquoise, but Etsy sellers Blue Bird and Imperfectly Perfect have great handmade versions for a fraction of the cost...

3. vase: this adorable vase from Anthropologie would also be great with our bedroom color palette.

4. sunglasses: I have a super cheap pair in a similar shape but would love something a little better quality (and polarized). Plus, like with their shoes, Toms will donate a pair with every purchase, so I can be snazzy and helpful in these tortoiseshell sunnies.

5. shoes: totally copy-catting lots of style bloggers, but I've been eyeing these shoes from Urban Outfitters (in my current favorite color) forever. And they're currently on sale!
