fall in a nutshell

Oooh the crisp air, warming sun, and colorful leaves. Some of these fall days are just the very best for being outside - I went for a long run on Saturday morning and felt like I could have gone for about forever. Chilly to start, but with that sun and blue sky it's just kind of invigorating. And my afternoon walk with Ginger in a light sweater and scarf with leaves underfoot was just pleasant.

But then that's what our thermostat ended up at before we turned on the furnace yesterday morning. Gah! That just will not do. And though my run was lovely, I would rather not have needed to be wearing gloves for it... The being cold all the time is starting, and it makes me a little cranky.

Also, I bought some candy corn. And need I say more? Sooo tempting.

  1. Aw Ginger is so cute! I love walking in the fall when the air is crisp and the leaves are crunchy. The cold I could do without though. They haven't turned the heat on yet, and my apartment is freezing!

  2. I always think I want fall, but when it stops being sunny I get a little sad. My ideal weather would be crisp air (even if it's cold, it's not crisp in San Diego, boooo) with the sun shining. Too bad we can't order the weather to be exactly what we want hehe.

  3. The current temperature in our apartment is far too brisk for my liking, but I am refusing to turn on the heat yet! Bring on the long johns and down comforters ;)
