pin to present: Christmas colors

My green army jacket is one of my most worn closet items (down to pennies per wear now, since I got it for about $8 from a consignment shop - score!), but I was a little sad that the colored cords I acquired just were too too Christmas-colorish a combination to pair with my go-to jacket... until I saw this outfit on Shea and realized how great it could be. And I copied it pronto.

The green really is muted enough that it acts more like a neutral, and bright orangey red pants just make it fun for some Christmas shopping and a bookstore date. So while I normally steer clear of overly themed holiday hues, I love this festive outfit - plus leopard flats totally help avoid the red + green overkill, right?
