five things Friday: Prime Day haul edition

Did anyone else have as much fun celebrating Prime Day with Amazon as I did last week? I love my Prime membership for many a reason, but this perk has got to be one of the most fun. I ended up with a lot of happy mail recently thanks to it - and a lot of great deals! - and I thought it would be fun to share the 5 favorites from my haul, since even though it's not Prime Day anymore, they're still pretty darn good prices on some good finds.

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5

1. Search and Spot book: I've never seen this line of "I spy" sort of books, but the cover was so cute that I thought it would definitely be worth a try. It'll be great for

2. Cycling capris: for fall I thought it would be nice to have some longer length bottoms that have some good bike seat padding, but cycling clothes are always so expensive. Then I spotted these on Prime Day, totally worth a shot at $20! The reviews are really good, and even the regular Amazon price is really good - $25, last I checked.

3. Marker set: rather an impulse buy, as I find it very hard to pass up office supplies of any kind, but especially sets of colored pens/markers. These are really great for coloring books and list making. My pack is no longer available but this dual-tip set is a good price and worth a look.

4. Bento box: another impulse buy, but with a cause... we do need to start packing a lunch for Hendrik in the fall, and how fun will this be to pack in?! It has really great reviews, so the deal definitely seemed worth it.

5. Photoshop Elements: most excited about this buy - I do all of my blog graphics in Elements (#wannabe), and I've been wanting to update from version 6 for a while. Got this at half off! Bonus that it can be installed on both a Mac and a PC, so I can put it on my home iMac as well as my laptop. If you're interested in a program like this, Amazon is still a good buy at $20 off list price.

Did you make any Prime Day orders? I want to hear about more fun finds!

  1. I often wonder how you make all of your graphics! And those pens (or any office supply, in general) look fantastic.

  2. Yay for photoshop elements, I have that one. You should look into buying some actions for it, helps with the processing and getting those fancy looks that are hard to get. I really like Annie from Paint the Moon, her actions are good, I have bought a few through her. You can also find free ones that help out. Good luck! If you have any questions let me know, I know a little about it.

  3. We have 3 of those Bento boxes. One for each of us and as an adult, it is plenty big enough for a solid lunch or picnic dinner.

  4. I didn't even make it over there to see what was on sale!!! It's been a crazy few weeks. I'm an office supply geek, so I might have to go scope out those markers!

  5. That sale overwhelms me so much that I never know what to buy so I end up not getting anything, haha. If you ever write a post on what to look for in that sale I'd love to read it!
