five things Friday: coffee table search edition

I got word this week that our sectional delivery is going to be delayed until December. Boo. I've felt like I'm in living room decorating limbo while trying to make the decision on exactly which one to order, and I was so eager to move on... but it's going to be a while. I guess I'll just have to use my little fabric swatch and figure out the rest of the room in the meantime, so that once it finally does arrive I'll have the rest of the room done around it. Next up: finding a coffee table. Five options that I liked enough to bookmark so far:

I find coffee table shopping to be so hard - or maybe that's just all decorating decisions. Partly it's so easy to spot things I don't like that I have a difficult time knowing exactly what I'm looking for, but partly it's I don't know which search criterion should win out (I know better than to hold out hope for the perfect one that meets them all - AND that I can afford).

First, it sort of feels like I need something round or square to fit in the footprint of the U-shaped sectional, and I'm thinking something that takes up a bit less visual space (so not too solid or heavy looking), given that we'll have such a large sectional, will be better. So I'm half tempted to go super simple with the table, like #3 or #5.

But then on the other hand, I'd love something with a bit of interest, whether through texture or shape, since it's one of the few items of furniture in the room (again thanks to the large size of the sectional!), like #1 or #2. Of course I also need it to be kid-friendly of course - which puts a check in the "pro" column for a round table, since we've already had one trip to the urgent care for stitches thanks to a sharp table corner... Oh, and storage would be really nice too, like #4!

All of this has me all over the map (clearly)a - so since my post about rug considerations was so helpful in gathering ideas - and also in garnering excellent suggestions for other places to look (thanks!) - so let's crowd source this one again. Thoughts? Opinions? Recommendations?
