They're not very original by now, I know - you can get versions everywhere, from Etsy and Ebay to JCrew and Baublebar - but this bubble necklace was a big purchase last summer after I coveted one for a while... and it has seriously been worth it. The color is gorgeous, it goes with nearly all of my wardrobe, and it adds a fun twist to almost any outfit. Plus this necklace never fails to garner a compliment or two, which really makes an outfit feel awesome.
I easily came up with way more than 5 examples of how I've worn it:

And I should give credit to Peter: while I heavily hinted that I would like a bubble necklace, he bypassed the knockoff versions I conveniently left up on the computer and birthday splurge gifted the "real thing" to me. Clearly, I love it.
p.s. my version is from JCrew Factory - slightly smaller than most versions, which is much better on short people like me.
Sharing on 5 days, 5 ways, WIWW, and Friday's Fancies (since this necklace never fails to make me feel just that!)

I absolutely love all of the ways that you've chosen to wear your necklace! I have one in navy and in red. I haven't been wearing it as much though because my baby grabs at it! LOL.
ReplyDeleteI love all the ways you've worn it! Bubble necklaces are so fun!
ReplyDeleteI love a good bubble necklace, I have a teal one too. Great inspiration here! My favorite is the one with the nautical dress.

You clearly have got your money's worth out of this necklace. I LOVE it paired with your anchor dress. That is freaking adorable! Heather
ReplyDeleteThere are 2 super cute ombre ones on Sassy Steals today that I think I need and you too!
ReplyDeleteYAY for being twins! I really can't believe how versatile this necklace is. Now that I have it, and wear it all the time, I probably would have been willing to spend more for it. It's so fun to see all of your looks. I'll probably be stealing ideas!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I have a cream colored one (a knock-off but my friend made it so...) and I do get a little discouraged when I see it everywhere, but I can't deny that it's an awesome piece.
ReplyDeleteI love my bubble necklace too :) Your styling ideas with it are great, filing them away.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy reading your blog! I always love your outfits, and I like your blog format (very clean, simple, and classy). I'm a pretty new blogger and would love if you shared some blogging tips, ie on taking outfit pictures and also what program you use to make your collages and photo clip art!
The bubble necklace is such a fun piece to dress up or down. I love all the ways you styled it!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love all these outfits! I really like the layered looks especially, but your simple summery outfits are great too!

Cute! I really like the color of your necklace! I like how different the necklace looks in every outfit. It adds a focal point to a plain black maxi dress and a pop of color to a layered outfit with neutral colors and prints. Very nice!!
