Then Saturday we went out for an official birthday date - birthday boy's choice of restaurant, of course. He picked one of our favorites, Enoteca Emilia, and we had a lovely meal outdoors with a couple of our favorite dishes: the lamb bacon pizza and the bucatini with bacon and pecorino.
And Sunday it was baby boy's turn to be celebrated - at a shower with some my favorite ladies in Cincinnati! Peter's sister planned an ice cream sundae themed shower with Graeter's ice cream (something baby has already been well trained to like) and cute little ice cream cone/M&M favors. We also decorated some sweet little onesies, and I came home with a carload of supplies and outfits for baby. So nice!
So thankful for the generosity of all these friends and for these two boys... And it all made for a fun weekend too, with time enjoying the sun and reading to boot. What did you celebrate?
