Here's the plan(ish):
walls: are already a gray I love (chelsea gray by Benjamin Moore), and I'm thinking of keeping everything else pretty neutral, so I loved these dark gray walled inspiration photos with white cribs.
rug: I went back and forth for a while on what kind of rug to get until I saw this photo with my wall color and the perfect neutral rug, from West Elm. Love the pattern and texture it has, plus it's fairly soft because of the chenille and is perfect with the beige chair and white furniture I'm planning. Ordered on sale!
crib: I knew I wanted something white and modern looking; I like the flat slats better than round ones, and again, seeing one I liked against something similar to my wall color sold me - bonus that it's a Consumer Reports recommended buy, and a decent price. Also on order!
dresser: the room is fairly small and has no closet, so a dresser/changing table combo with lots of storage was going to be a must. I would have gravitated toward something from Ikea anyway, but when I saw this one on Pinterest with switched-out gold ring pulls I instantly knew I was getting it (in white) and doing the same. It's HUGE, which will be perfect for all of baby's clothes and diapers, and is awaiting assembly now...
table: loved the idea of a little side table for next to the rocker in the room for holding any little items needed in reach while nursing - from the same room as the dresser with gold ring pulls, so I found a similar one from Target.
shelves: I love Ikea's Expedit shelving, and I think it'll be the perfect toy/book storage solution (since, again, no closet) with bins, etc. Probably do this size, but I also love it as bench/window seat.
decor: love the subtle safari theme in lots of these photos, especially the map and the giant plush giraffe. Still pondering exactly what we'll do, but something in this direction...
