pregnancy by the numbers

It's arrived... the day marked on my calendar as "40!", aka my due date. We're so pleased that we already have an almost one-week old baby at this point instead!

At the time I went social media public with the pregnancy in May, I started taking weekly shots from above of my growing bump and posting them on Instagram. It was fun to record what I was up to on some of the weeks this way (e.g., traveling to Turkey at 23, drinking that yucky orange glucose stuff at 25, getting the nursery rug at 28, and getting lots of ice cream throughout). In anticipation of reaching my due date, I had already put together up to week 39 of a whole collage of the bump's-eye-view, and some little pregnancy facts by the numbers - so here it is now...

310 running miles logged with baby on board
300ish $$ I'd have if I got one for every time I answered "when are you due?" or "what are you having?"
273 days of baby growing
39 weeks and 1 day at the time of delivery
38 weeks and 6 days at the time of my last spinning class
36 nursery inspriations pinned
18 weeks at which I felt the first baby movement flutters
12 prenatal appointments
10 pre-baby bucket list items completed
9ish hours of labor
8 dresser drawers filled with tiny baby things
7 ultrasounds (thanks to rechecks of a low-lying placenta, I got lots of extra baby viewing)
5 parenting memoirs read/reviewed
5 prenatal needle pokes (2 blood draws, TDAP and flu vaccinations, rhogam shot, ick)
3 pregnancy tests before I could trust that it really was true
2 photo sessions
1 sweet, sweet baby boy

  3. Love the collage. What a fun memory keepsake. You will have to let us know if you get it printed somehow or display it at all.

  7. Love this!! I cannot wait to hear about your birth story. My husband keeps asking me if you had to have a c-section (I obviously kept him very updated after each of our lunches, ha!)....I'm like, I don't know yet lol!

  8. This is so cute. What a great idea to take pictures from that angle and I love that you incorporated different things in them (like your passport, ice cream, dog, etc.). So happy for you!
