And then, inspired by Pinterest, I turned it into my jewelry box too! This tutorial is for building a jewelry storage mirror, but since I had this little medicine cabinet at my disposal, I thought I could just apply the organization/prettification ideas, like screwing in a few hooks and linking the inside of the door with a fun paper.
With very minimal time and money investment, now I've got a lovely organized space to get ready in - if you ignore the part where there's no counter space for my hair straightener and also no drain cover so I occasionally lose things like earrings down the sink...
Ooh! I'm definitely stealing the fun paper on the back of the mirror/door idea! Great to spice up a boring guest bath!
ReplyDeleteNice! This reminds me to pick up some kind of drain cover as I recently lost a favorite earring down the drain. As soon as I figured out what I had done, I had TBG (the best guy) inspect the S bend trap, but no luck. ;-(
ReplyDeleteOh, I have this one pinned too but haven't done it yet, so thanks for refreshing my memory! I love the idea of prettying up a tiny, functional space. Our master bathroom is pretty tiny too, so I could put this to use there. (And I'm just thankful as well to have a master bathroom--our old house had just one bathroom total!)
ReplyDeleteOh, I really love this idea. I'm always looking for a new way to hide my jewelry from my kids. This could work.
ReplyDeleteI really need more than one bathroom so I can do this to one of mine!! What a great idea!!! =) It looks so cute too! =)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cheery, bright place to get ready in! My husband works nights, so I have to be sure I have everything I might possibly need to wear that day in our master bathroom the night before. That means I have my outfit plus an extra shirt and two extra pairs of shoes JUST in case I change my mind when I'm getting ready! It's pretty ridiculous sometimes! We all work around life/house/schedule challenges, don't we!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! It looks awesome. We have a little cabinet like that in my parents house but we never made it look this cute.
ReplyDeleteAdorable and useful! I love that hand towel...where is that from?
ReplyDeleteI am always searching for better jewelry storage ideas. No spare cabinets at the moment, but something to keep in mind for later!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea, Anne! Our bathroom is the first big project Kevin and I want to tackle in our house - it's very DIY right now, but not in a good way. We haven't changed a thing since we moved in, but I'd love to try little changes like this as we save up for a bigger remodel!
