1. your partner: I recently read a YA novel that talked about a scientific way to fall in love, and then did a little research on it as I found it intriguing. The personal experience in this article was really interesting, and even if you're already in a relationship, why not talk through the 36 questions that lead to love, to fall in love all over again? There's even an app for it!
2. your kids: ah, toddlers. Gotta love them, but goodness, they can be trying at times. Sometimes you just have to have a good laugh to be reminded how much you love them, right? How about 53 tweets that sum up life with 3-year-olds. So funny.
3. your friends: I think Jamie is spot on with these tips for how to make friends in your late 20s (never mind that I'm in my early 30s, okay?).
4. your body: it doesn't take much commitment to get your body moving and healthy with these 6 effective workouts you can do in 30 minutes or less.
5. others: thanks, Audrey, for directing me to this link on 5 real things you can do to fight the recent Muslim ban. I don't think this is a political issue. This is about the commandment to love our neighbors, the needy, the oppressed. This is about the fact that my life does not have more inherent value than that of someone from a different faith, just because I happen to be so lucky to have been born in this country, into this family. Not to mention this country's ideals of freedom of religion, equal rights, and so on.
Okay, now go out and love on someone this weekend!
I'm definitely heading over to Jamie's post about how to make friends as an adult. Why does it get so much harder?! Also, I shared one of your posts in my link love over at the Blended Blog today :)
ReplyDeleteI'm going to read the 36 questions for sure! And also sending over the tweets to my sister who has a 3.5 year old lol- I know she will get a kick out of it! :0
