That means the inspiration on this board is pretty exclusively outfits that incorporate items that I have (and love) in my closet now. One that I was super excited about was this one from Natalie Borton. When I saw it, I immediately thought "bingo!" as it has all items that I already own, including one of my very favorite jackets, but puts them together in this cool-girl vibe that I aspire to but don't always feel like I put together super well.
Of course, I had to my version with a Michigan-appropriate turtleneck sweater - making this an outfit I could wear on the warmest day of our winter, vs. what was probably the coldest day of Natalie's California one, but I love it all the same. Now if only I could manage to copy her amazing cool girl hair...

I love the little tassel necklace! So cute!
ReplyDeleteYour hair IS cool!
ReplyDeleteThis outfit!!! I totally forgot how much I love chunky sweaters under my coat like that! Loving that purse too - I need to get out of my rut with purses and start actually swapping based on my outfit like I used to.
ReplyDeleteI'm having such a love affair with turtlenecks right now so of course I love this look! Also, I recently discovered Natalie Borton's work and one of her necklaces is very much at the top of my current wishlist. :)
ReplyDeleteI actually love the curated closet idea. I stopped going on pinterest because I got so overwhelmed by my boards, but this is a great way to rejuvenate my closet. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love your outfit! Turtlenecks and chunky sweaters make me look incredibly busty (even more than usual), so I always envy people who can pull off either or both in one!
This is such a smart looking outfit and you did a great job making it your own!!
ReplyDeleteshe's one of my favorite bloggers too! love this outfit -- especially that turtleneck! xo jillian - cornflake dreams
