pin to present: garland card display

As we all know, this is by far the best time of the year for good mail days... never mind the delivery of the Christmas gifts I've ordered online (or the other goodies that a crazy good Cyber Monday or Green Monday or some such -day deal) - I'm running to the mail box for Christmas cards! It's always so fun to see photos of family and friends, and so to enjoy them all the more, I always try to work them in to my holiday decor.

In previous years Pinterest has inspired me to hang them on branches and hang them in the shape of a Christmas tree, but this year I kept it really simple and easy after spotting this garland idea I saved ages ago.

I had already hung up our garlands on the entry stairway just like last year, so all I had to do was pull out some ribbon and tape on loops, and we have instantly more fun decorations. Plus I get to enjoy looking at them every time I come in or leave the house (or spend time at that bench wrestling Hendrik's snow gear onto him). Our cards this year are from Shutterfly, and I love how they turned out, so I had to hang one of ours to enjoy as well!

How do you display your cards?

p.s. to see the rest of my home decorated for the holidays, check out yesterday's post - you'll especially not want to miss it as there's a giveaway opportunity at the end of it!

  2. I love this idea! I have a lot of stairs, but they're all partially closed-in so I'm not sure I'd be able to do this. I just love the idea though--and your Christmas card is adorable :)
