It's helpful to have something to actually enjoy in the snow, and for me that's snowshoeing in the woods, or even along the (frozen) beach, like I did at New Year's. And then of course some homemade hot cocoa mix when you come back in from that - or from the incessant shoveling! - is nice.
But otherwise, I just avoid going outside! Indoors, I'm all about the fuzzy blankets, Netflix/Amazon Prime offerings (currently loving The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Broadchurch, with Godless next in the queue), and my adorable new slippers for extra coziness. That'll be my weekend - snow problem at all.
Have you watched Dark on Netflix? It's definitely on the "dark" side, but an incredible viewing experience. I highly recommend listening in German with English subtitles -- we tried the first episode in English and it was BAD.
ReplyDeleteI loved The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel!
ReplyDeleteI got those same slippers for Christmas! In fact, I'm wearing them right now. They are super cozy, but the tassels make them.
ReplyDeleteIs it weird I miss the snow?!
ReplyDeleteI've got to check out that Marvelous show...I keep hearing about it. Stay warm this weekend!
ReplyDeleteI keep hearing about this Marvelous show, too ~ definitely checking it out! I'm on snow day #2 here (north of Boston) so it's good to have some new things to check out!
ReplyDeleteI’m wondering if I’d enjoy snowshoeing. I didn’t like cross country skiing as a kid, and it just feels like hard to transport equipment. Maybe I could get into snowshoing! I need a reason to get out in winter and skating just seems like a broken bone waiting to happen with this klutz!
ReplyDeleteLove the slippers and I'm off the check out The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely in the "stay indoors" camp so the fuzzy blankets and slippers are just what I need this time of year. Aaron has been watching Broadchurch and it's one I keep unintentionally getting sucked into as well.
ReplyDeleteThe slippers are darling. I also need to watch The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. I enjoyed reading this article about the sound track http://www.vulture.com/2017/12/marvelous-mrs-maisel-1950s-music.html
ReplyDeleteLove The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel! We're currently watching Turn on Netflix and finding it hard to not stay up too late -- it's the perfect binge-worthy show for winter as Nashville is actually really cold right now.
