five things Friday: favorite home tours edition

As we enter November, I was thinking about how little time is left in 2018 - and consequently, how many items are left to cross off on my 18 in 2018 list! This spurred me into photo album making action, for starters (now I'm one down and one to go on those, woohoo) and then I decided I'd better make a plan for crossing off item #12, submit applications to websites for home tour feature...

 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5

So: instead of wrangling photos from previous room features, since there have been some updates to the rooms since since the various posts, I decided that next time my house cleaner comes, I'm going to snap a photo in each clean room, and then send them in! (Aiming for The Everygirl and Apartment Therapy - wish me luck.)

In the meantime, here's some amazing house tour inspiration - 5 favorites from around the web that I have bookmarked in the past. All are definitely worth a click-through to check out all of the rooms. Even if the style isn't exactly what I'd put in my own house, these ones are just so visually appealing to me. I'm a sucker for a good kitchen (especially with that amazing floor in #3!), and ooooohhhh that rainbow display of glassware in #2 gives me all the heart eyes. I love #4 especially because it's a surprise makeover for Lucy Kalanithi, widow of Paul Kalanithi who wrote When Breath Becomes Air. The whole idea of it made me want to cry - and then made me want to go out and buy that rug, which I totally did in my dining room. Ha!
