pin to present: best of Thanksgiving

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is only two weeks away? We'll be doing the big extended family gathering at my parents' house again this year, and I expect my mom to ask for help brainstorming centerpieces any minute now... right, mom?! In case you're looking for some simple but seasonally festive ideas yourself, here are some Pinterest-inspired things we've done in Novembers past:

easy wrapped wheat centerpiece - I still love and pull these out in the fall, because they're just so simple yet striking!

painted pinecones - this was a pre-kid project, but it would be super fun to go on a nature walk to collect some more and paint them with Hendrik. They make for nice bowl-filler material, or place card holders.

Thanksgiving banner - also a pre-kid type of project, because it took me sooo long to cut out all those letters, ha! But I do love a good typographical banner for any type of seasonal decor.

herringbone pumpkins - these were a Halloween project one year, but they make for great November decor too, don't you think? Love them as part of a Thanksgiving tablescape.

embellished kraft paper tablescape - this is a favorite of mine of the Thanksgiving tables we've come up with. The candles make it so cozy, and the greens + hand-drawn flatware are the perfect amount of whimsy.

Now back to troll Pinterest for an idea for this year!
