blogger style: one item, two ways

One of my favorite things for a summer wardrobe is what I call a "dressy tee" - something that is in a more substantial fabric than your average cotton tee that can easily be dressed up (especially for my summer work travel) and that can serve to dress up casual items like shorts for being a bit snazzier on the everyday.

This summer Everlane has made my new favorite version of the dressy tee - in their great "go weave" fabric that is so comfortable, substantial yet not too heavy, and great for travel (never mind the fact that I failed to iron out the initial creases from the packaging).

And of course, since Dana is my inspiration on all things Everlane that I have ever purchased, she has this one too... so this month we're both styling this boxy tee for our monthly closet twin post. I currently have this top along on my Copenhagen trip and have styled it with a skirt and slim ankle pants for the work portion of my travels - but I am totally going to wear it for the vacation part too, because it works just as well for non-work wear. For example, here I paired it with super comfy shorts and sandals - and even though everything is very comfortable and kind of in the "casual" category, the dressy tee works its magic to make shorts suitable for museum-going or a night on the town.

Now go check out Dana's post for yet another way to wear this one!
