blogger style: one item, two ways

My evangelizing about the greatness of the Great Lakes via this tee led to this month's closet twin pairing - Dana is recognizing her Midwest roots too with a purchase of this one, and we're both sporting our matching graphic tees today:

She and I might have to duke it out over whether the Michigan side or the Wisconsin side is the better one for Lake Michigan (we get the sunset views over here, for one thing, which I think is a point in the Michigan column!), but I'm actually headed for the geographical middle-ground compromise this week, with a trip just a few hours down the coast, to Chicago. There's no arguing about that being a great place to see the lake - and also eat delicious things, shop at good stores, and (our highlight of this trip) see Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats!!

This denim skirt + sneakers pairing was a perfect Saturday walking downtown in my lakeside town kind of outfit, and you can also see how I paired it with jeans and bright hued slides earlier this summer - along with some photographic evidence of how my Great Lake is the best one.
