wishing: to maybe see some of these under the Christmas tree...
remembering: how to drive in snow. Thankfully there hasn't been too much of it yet (this photo is from our gorgeous and also nice and later-than-usual first snow), because much as I enjoy a white Christmas, there's not much at all I like about driving conditions. Got to get used to this again.
wrapping: everything in this great custom wrapping paper from Tiny Prints. I always like to have a theme/color scheme for all my decor and gift wrap together, and this year I've got white, red, and craft paper with scripty writing and fresh greens. Loving it!
baking: lots of cutout cookies for my little decorating gathering with some lady friends later this week (here's last year's, if you're looking for some inspiration for a super fun holiday gathering).
decorating: our first real Christmas tree. Keeping with the theme of the gift wrap, I was inspired to decorate the tree with pretty gift tags, like this inspiration spotted on The Everygirl. So simple and fun. Full Christmas house tour to come soon!
We can't wait to see how you're currently getting into the holiday spirit with all of these too!
Also, thanks so much to all who have joined us this year - we have loved getting to know all of you through this linkup and always have such fun seeing the creative ways you interpret the prompts each month (or not - it's always amusing how one of them tends to have a theme where everyone has the same answer, like listening to Taylor Swift or smelling fall candles). ReplyDeleteOh yeah the first snow of the year when everyone completely loses their minds and forgets how to drive! It's so funny, because it snows every year quite a bit. Looks like you are on track for Christmas stuff! I need to get in gear!
ReplyDeleteIt still hasn't snowed in Pittsburgh! We had a few flakes a few weekends ago, but nothing has laid yet. It's not even cold enough yet. It's been raining lately and I wish it would get colder so it would snow!
ReplyDeleteI agree, a white Christmas is beautiful, but when you have to be out driving in it... yikes. I never have mastered that art. I love the fun custom wrapping paper and how your tree will coordinate. We don't have our tree just yet but I love the way real trees perfume the whole house!

Those cutout cookies are so festive and I bet are super delicious too! Last weekend we had a mixture of snow and ice, mostly ice. My mom and I didn't even leave the house because we didn't want to deal with driving. Hopefully, we see less ice and more snow in the future this winter! Love the gift tag idea for decorating a tree. It looks really cute!

ReplyDeleteYour custom wrapping paper/theme sounds perfect. I try to go for a theme each year, but I still use store bought paper and I'm never on target completely. This year I'm doing black/white which sounds strange, but when I saw it in the store it was a must have.
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing with wrapping paper, but I divide out for each side of the family to keep everything straight. The immediate family, both my sides of the family, my husband's family and friends/co-workers all get a different print. :) I haven't even thought about what to do this year, but I'm loving your selection! Also, I love this Currently linkup, how have I missed it for so long? I'll be sure to join up tomorrow and next month. Fun!

ReplyDeleteEvery year I forget about customized wrapping paper until I've wrapped most of my presents!! I need to make a note to go off on my phone early next November so I can get some and go crazy with it ;)

ReplyDeleteI would love to have a white Christmas or even some part of a white winter, but I would NOT want to drive in it with Alabama drivers. They freak out. I'm just thankful that I learned how to legitimately drive in it while living in Tahoe, so in case it ever happens again, maybe it will come back to me. Can't wait for the Christmas tour!!
