currently

watching: Big Little Lies. I recapped my recent favorite watches last week, but since then I've got a new obsession, as I thankfully remembered just in time that we have currently have a free trial of HBO. The cast is great, I love the scenery/homes (and don't mind how it was moved to Monterey, CA, rather than the book's original Australia setting), and it is super engrossing - even if I have already read the book and know the plot!

eating: fritattas. After remembering how easy of a dinner this is, and finding out that Hendrik will eat it with no complaints, I've been making one of these almost weekly. It's an awesome meal because besides the necessary eggs, pretty much anything else goes - if I don't have exactly what this yummy recipe calls for, I just use up whatever types of cheeses, veggies and bacon/proscuitto that we have around. Bonus is leftovers for breakfast!

saying: that I'm totally ready for spring (and its flowers). But I live in Michigan, so the weather's definitely going to have something different to say between now and, uh, May.

wearing: my leather moto jacket for date nights and girls weekends. I love the added cool factor that my outfits don't typically have - and now is a great time to look into these if you're in the market, or any other investment pieces you've been contemplating for your wardrobe, as Shopbop is having one of those buy more, save more sales through March 5th...

posting: more on Instagram than my usual (of late) 1-2 times per month, given all the excitement around here: many days of unseasonably warm weather, and some serious big boy moments (potty prize time!).

Now join co-host Carrie of A Stylish Fit and me to share what you're currently up to! Please remember to link up only related posts, link back to us in your post, and visit some others while you're at it.

The next linkup will be co-hosted by Jess on April 5, with: accomplishing, feeling, needing, practicing, pinning.

  2. I'm sad that I don't have HBO and can't watch Big Little Lies! I read the book as well and enjoyed it and the show has a great cast! Maybe it will eventually make it to Amazon Prime or Netflix! I love frittatas as well. I agree they are so easy to make and so customizable. I love Instagram! It is by far my favorite social media!

  14. I made it for the link up ON the day it opens!!! <**** (Old fashioned version of the party horn emoji!)

I often watch shows for WHERE they take place too! I still haven't read that book yet...Should I?

Frittatas are AMAZING!!!! I've had some gooood breakfasts lately too (basically eggs every which way and toast).

Michigan has BRUTAL weather doesn't it??? It seems like the weather there is either brutally cold or super hot and humid. Hope spring surprises you!!!

You are SOOO stylish!!! I love that your outfits are cute and yet totally effortless looking.

Yay for more IG posts!!! I've been posting more too. I have no idea WHAT is inspiring me, but I'm not mad about it! :)

Thanks again for hosting this great link up!!!! Hope you're having a great week!

  15. Oh I'm bummed I don't have HBO, that does sound like a fun show, since it was a fun read as well. I'm so impressed that Hendrik will eat a frittata. I can't even get my husband to eat one, let alone the kiddo. Sounds delicious to me though! And yay for more things to celebrate on IG, I always love seeing your posts :) Bring on the spring, I hope it comes your way soon!

  18. I've been watching BLL too and can't stop! I also read the book so it's fun to see how they remade it, included more of some characters and less of others. plus it looks beautiful out there!

  19. I need to look into Big Little Lies- book and show. Which do you prefer so far?

I just checked out your instagram after you mentioned posting to it more, and I love it- especially the picture about public schools! I'm a teacher and obviously devastated about DeVos, but I'm glad I learned that you come from a family of teachers!! :)

I hope you have a wonderful March!

  22. I love this because I wore my faux leather jacket just the other day and was talking with co-workers about how it makes me feel just a little bit edgy even though my personality is far from it haha! And yes please for me as well to spring weather and flowers! :)

  23. I love Instagram! The more you post the more you will love it, too! Thanks for sharing the frittata recipe! I have pinned it to make soon!

  25. I've only seen the first episode so far, but I already adore Big Little Lies, and I think the casting is perfect. I read the book but I have horrible memory so I don't remember "who dun it" which makes watching it that much better!

I recently made a bunch of handheld freezer frittatas- they're just so easy to grab and go!

  26. I LOVE that jacket!! May have to go grab one for myself!
