admiring: all of the tulips that are starting to bloom around town. The thousands of tulips is one of my very favorite things about living where I live - and it's well-earned, after the long winter we all have to live through to get to blooming season...
playing: favorites with my denim. I wear jeans pretty much every day, and I've been reaching for my Madewell road tripper pair just about as often. Very pleased with how they are a bit stretchy but don't stretch out at all, and the petite length is perfect for short girls. (See a bunch of spring outfits with them here.)
borrowing: the audio version of Trevor Noah's Born a Crime from the library... on CD! Can't remember the last time I used an actual CD, but this was the only way I was able to track down a copy that I didn't have to purchase. Can't wait to get started with listening on my road trip this weekend.
remembering: how nice it is to be able to grill for dinner. Besides being delicious, it's kind of a treat to hand off half of dinner prep to Peter... We brought back this old favorite recipe last week, and burgers too.
finishing: some decoration and baking projects for the baby shower I'm co-hosting this weekend. For our Cinco de Mayo theme, I love these festive and easy tissue paper flowers to turn into a garland. And I also made a "how big is the food baby?" quiz game, for everyone to guess how many weeks in utero a baby is when the size of Cinco de Mayo appropriate things like black beans, avocados, and burritos. I think it's pretty amusing.
So that's what I'm up to this first of May - how about you? Link up your post below, and then put June 5 on your calendar to share what you're currently picking, going, wishing, wearing, and celebrating.
Oh, and in other link up news: Dana and I are going to have a little blogger book club coming up on May 5, discussing our thoughts on Daisy Jones & the Six (spoiler alert: I loved it). If you've read it, join in! You can format your post in our Q&A format, or however you'd like - and we hope you'll share your reactions then.
