five things Friday: March TBR edition

I usually read pretty mood based, or otherwise library hold arrivals based. But this year I do want to read down my physical/Kindle shelves a bit, and also make sure to finally get around to a few backlist titles - so I like the idea of setting a monthly to be read list (joining with Never Enough Novels and friends to share!)

Not saying I won't get distracted by new arrivals - as you'll see in my next book review post, I already have a full roundup of 5 that pulled me away from a a couple of my January/February intended books (but ooh they were worth it!) - but I'm aiming to get to these as well. The Heart's Invisible Furies didn't quite happen in February, so it's going back on the list for March, as it is the main has-been-sitting-on-my-shelf-forever title that instigated my 2020 goal of reading at least 10 backlist titles.

Other ones I'd like to make a priority: The Giver of Stars and Yes No Maybe So, to get caught up on my Book of the Month (and BOTM YA) selections; The Road Back to You, to start working on my another 2020 intention, to explore the enneagram; and The Wild Robot, which is a kids/middle grade book that Peter and Hendrik read together and loved so much that they keep recommending it to me as well.

I did get around to three of last month's list: You Think It I'll Say It (good, as far as short stories go, but I don't love short stories...), Dangerous Alliance (fluffy but fun Austen-era YA romp), and I'm Fine and Neither Are You - which is my blogger book club pick with Dana, and we'll both be reviewing that on Sunday! You can come link up a book post on that day if you have any fun reads to share with other bloggers yourself.
