holiday mini wardrobe: comfy and cozy

I kind of wish all of winter could be the holiday season, because even if it's cold and snowy outside, I still always have fun getting dressed in December. Take outfit #1 from my mini holiday wardrobe: it's really just ponte leggings and long layers for a day of trying to stay comfy and cozy indoors, but the holiday plaid just makes me feel so much more festive than the usual gray winter days (plus even the indoor activities this time of year are just better - tree trimming! cookie decorating! online present ordering!).

An open cardigan is perfect for being warm but still getting to show off those holiday patterns, and paired with some wedges and a fun tassel necklace, it still manages to look pretty chic, even if my comfort is at the levels of I could do Christmas morning stockings in this getup.

Also speaking of comfy and cozy - these Sorel wedges are already proving worth the purchase, because when I do have to leave the house, they keep my feet completely dry, they have enough traction to walk on snow, the extra lift means my feet are warmer because I'm not so close to that cold cold ground. AND they're not huge winter boots. Winning all around with these and would recommend (1/2 size up to fit cozy socks is a good bet!).
